MGB Berhad will pay a final single-tier dividend of 1.31 sen a share for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, lifting the full-year payout to 2.57 sen a share.

Market Impact

The 2.57 sen total ranks as the second-highest dividend MGB has declared in four years and marks a five-fold increase from 0.50 sen in the year to December 2022. The payout ratio has climbed from 20% to 30%, above the group’s stated minimum of 30% of distributable earnings.

The dividend was approved at the annual general meeting on 19 June 2026 and is payable on 5 August to shareholders on the register on 15 July; the ex-dividend date is 14 July.

The higher payout coincides with a strengthened balance sheet. As of 31 March 2026, MGB reported net asset value of RM1.08 per share and a net gearing ratio of only 0.12 times, leaving ample headroom for existing projects, larger new ventures and future growth initiatives.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr.) Lim Hock San, Executive Chairman, said the dividend record reflects MGB’s commitment to sustainable shareholder value. He added that the group’s order book, now exceeding RM1.0 billion after new contracts including a RM532.6 million project in Saudi Arabia, provides visibility for 2026 and beyond.

“We enter the new financial year with stronger revenue visibility and remain focused on efficient execution, operational performance and strategic opportunities that can reinforce income and sustain returns,” he said.

MGB’s order book expansion, regional footprint and conservative leverage position it to bid for larger projects and grow earnings, positioning the group to deliver higher returns over time.
