KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 — More than 90% of educators at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) have achieved Google’s Gemini Educator Certification through a university-wide upskilling initiative, the institution announced on Thursday.

According to UGM, 88.10% of participants earned the Google Certified Educator Level 1 credential, while 66.67% achieved Level 2 certification. UGM said the initiative underscores its commitment to advancing AI literacy among educators, enabling the creation of more dynamic and effective learning content in line with Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda.
